Keyboard Synthesizer

The keyboard synthesizer is the ubiquitous portable electronic instrument, used in almost all genres of music under the Sun. Even an entry-level keyboard synthesizer features hundreds of different instrument sounds and is often used to stand in for an instrument when a player of that actual instrument is not readily available.

There are also keyboards which are not synthesizers, i.e. they don’t have the ability to generate sounds. Those are called MIDI keyboards or master keyboards, and they are used to trigger other synthesizers or sound modules to produce sound.

Many classically trained piano players demand weighted keys on their keyboards in order to emulate the feel and the action of a real piano as closely as possible. However, there are no classically trained piano players at Wrong Destiny, but there is the philosophy that – to again paraphrase a very wise man โ€“ this is not the Olympics, you donโ€™t get any extra points for difficulty. Synth or semi-weighted action with as little clacking as possible, please.

A keyboard synthesizer is featured in almost all Wrong Destiny songs and compositions. The sound most often used is the piano, of course, but the harp, the harpsichord, and various classical string instrument sounds are featured as well. And of course, there is the infamous synth lead, just because. ๐Ÿ˜‰
